#568 - BROTHERLY LOVE
Today my brother Ernest, who lives down in Southern California, was able to make it to church. I hadn't seen him in a long time, and had no idea he was going to join us for service today so it was a pleasant surprise.
Immediately after I finished preaching both my brothers came over to me, hugged me tight, and prayed for me. They heard me. They empathized with me. They cried with me. I wasn't expecting this at all.
It felt so good to be supported, held up, affirmed, and encouraged by my younger brothers today. So many times, as the older brother, I feel like I have to be strong for them, but today, they were strong for me.
THEY WERE STRONG FOR ME.
Sometimes, love is being strong for those who can't be strong for themselves. And today, my brothers gave me that expression of love. Today, my Heavenly Father used my brothers to give me exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it.
God is faithful.
